Depart the dock at Portofino restaurant in Wyandotte at 9:00 am
aboard the MV Friendship. The "Friendship" is a 78-ton passenger
boat purchased in 1994 by the Portofino restaurant. This former
Boblo boat is equipped with a built in wet bar, bathrooms, and light
effects. The dual deck layout allows guests to enjoy the light
breezes on the open top level, or sit in comfort in the enclosed
bottom level.

We will travel up the Detroit River to the Rouge River with a stop
by the historic Bob-Lo boats to take pictures and look at the
ongoing restoration. We will not be able to board but our view will
be excellent from the water. Then we continue to the Rouge River
where we will go up to the turn around basin near the Ford Rouge
complex viewing the railroad and other facilities along the banks.

When we return to the Detroit River we'll head towards downtown
Detroit passing by the former Bob-Lo docks. As we near the
Ambassador Bridge we will be met by the mail boat JW Westcott.
The Westcott will be delivering our made fresh pizzas for lunch.
It's interesting to watch as the boat pulls up along side our boat to
make the delivery and you'll want to make sure and have your
camera ready to record the event.

We will then turn and head back down river returning to the
Wyandotte dock at 1:00.

Tickets are $44.00 for adults and $39.00 for children 12 and
under. The ticket includes the trip, pizza and one soft drink per
person. Additional drinks and snacks will be available for purchase
at the bar.
