

| The Bluewater Michigan Chapter Presents A Very Special Late Afternoon Train Ride The Petoskey Special Saturday, September 4, 2010 Petoskey – Boyne Falls – Elmira – Boyne Falls - Petoskey Enjoy a train ride from downtown Petoskey like no other. Relive the days of olde when passenger trains traveled from cities like Chicago and Cincinnati to Petoskey, home of “Million Dollar Sunsets.” This is an unprecedented opportunity to travel in style on Bluewater Michigan Chapter’s The Petoskey Special for a late afternoon-early evening train ride leaving Petoskey. We have five classes of tickets offering a wide range of seating and activity options. The train will depart Petoskey at 5:00 pm heading south over the Great Lakes Central Railroad’s former Grand Rapids & Indiana GR&I (Pennsylvania Railroad) tracks. We will make a 10 minute stop in Boyne Falls to exchange excursion class passengers, and then proceed on to Elmira. There the engines will run around the passenger cars and head north. We will let off a second group of excursion class passengers in Boyne Falls and return back to Petoskey. Expected arrival time in Petoskey is 8:00 pm. Passenger Ticket Classes: Excursion Class: A special class of ticket was set up to allow those “first-time” young train riders a short train experience, and priced at only $10 for those 6 to 12, (five and under free, see notes) and $20 for adults. By our using two special bi-level double-decker cars, we are able to offer this uniquely priced option which allows for excellent viewing from expansive windows. Both levels offer a unique view of the countryside. Excursion class passengers will ride on the train from Petoskey to Boyne Falls where they will de-train and ride our buses back to Petoskey. To enhance your experience, snacks and drinks will be available in the cars for purchase. Coach Class: Standard coach seating. Coach passengers will be seated in historically accurate railroad cars from the early 1930’s and 1950’s. In addition, they will be able to purchase snacks in our café lounge car with table seating. Visit the baggage car Haverstraw Bay to view the passing scenery through the open baggage doors. First Class: Seating in recently remodeled coach cars BMCX 857 and BMCX 829, having access to Bluewater Michigan Chapter’s observation lounge car 6604. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available in the observation car for purchase. Dinner Train: Join us for a four-course dinner in our two beautiful diner cars: Silver Lake and Beaver Valley. Enjoy the passing view as you enjoy your hors d’oeuvres. Begin to relax as you finish your freshly prepared salad. Enjoy the gentle rock of the train as you savor the entrée. Talk with your table companions as you fully unwind over the desert. Priced at only $80 for adults and $40 for children 6-12, this will be a memorable experience. (Sorry, no one under 6 years old accepted for the dinner train.) Ultra Class: Highest class ticketing on this trip. Passengers ride on one of two five-star passenger cars, either the Algonquin Park, dome, observation, lounge and sleeper car, or the Venice, a business car with living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms. A four-course dinner will be prepared by a Chef on the train and will be served by our staff in your car Pricing for Ultra class is $140 per person with very limited availability. (Sorry, no one under 6 years old accepted in Ultra Class.) A portion of the proceeds from your trip will be donated to support the Little Traverse Regional Historical Museum.
