Petoskey – Boyne Falls – Elmira – Boyne Falls - Petoskey

Enjoy a train ride from downtown Petoskey like no other.  Relive the
days of olde when passenger trains traveled from cities like Chicago and
Cincinnati to Petoskey, home of  “Million Dollar Sunsets.”  This is an
unprecedented opportunity to travel in style on Bluewater Michigan
Chapter’s The Petoskey Special for a late afternoon-early evening train
ride leaving Petoskey.  We have five classes of tickets offering a wide
range of seating and activity options.

The train will depart Petoskey at 5:00 pm heading south over the Great
Lakes Central Railroad’s former Grand Rapids & Indiana GR&I
(Pennsylvania Railroad) tracks.

We will make a 10 minute stop in Boyne Falls to exchange excursion
class passengers, and then proceed on to Elmira.  There the engines will
run around the passenger cars and head north.  We will let off a second
group of excursion class passengers in Boyne Falls and return back to
Petoskey.  Expected arrival time in Petoskey is 8:00 pm.

Passenger Ticket Classes:

Excursion Class:  A special class of ticket was set up to allow those
“first-time” young train riders a short train experience, and priced at
only $10 for those 6 to 12, (five and under free, see notes) and $20 for

able to offer this uniquely priced option which allows for excellent
viewing from expansive windows.  Both levels offer a unique view of
the countryside.

Boyne Falls where they will de-train and ride our buses back to

Dinner Train:  Join us for a four-course dinner in our two beautiful diner
cars: Silver Lake and Beaver Valley.  Enjoy the passing view as you
